The Idea EN

Empowerment, Inspiration and Real Participation

In January 2016, international activists gathered in Berlin to offer free educational, cultural and integration projects for refugees. From these early beginnings, a small, Germany-wide and even globally respected, unconventional and award-winning intercultural think-tank has developed.

In order to use synergy effects and to minimize the administrative effort, we realize our diverse project in cooperation with other initiatives, foundations, associations, gGmbHs and government agencies.

In the spirit of an academy, the broad curriculum covers many different subjects: this includes, among others: language teaching with theater material, MINT subjects, German history, politics, and current affairs as well as media literacy.

All members work voluntarily. Everybody can pioneer a new area or develop it where he / she can optimally contribute, in order to realize their own goals. In this way, the work is fun for everyone!
We are surrounded by committed, motivated people, with whom we are improving the world a little by little every day.

Since April 2017, the Refugee Academy is registered as e.V. at Charlottenburg district court under VR 35728. Currently, charity is requested.

We are looking forward to new members who would like to join us. And of course we are always welcoming donations to support us in our work 🙂
